Uzo Emenike had a UK No. 1 as a songwriter at eighteen before most people knew his name. He's written or produced for Beyoncé ("Hold Up"), Dua Lipa ("IDGAF"), Madonna, Little Mix and Stormzy, and his own records - "Never Forget You" with Zara Larsson, "Head & Heart" with Joel Corry - have gone multi-platinum. On National Coming Out Day 2017 he wrote about being Black and gay: "being black and realising you're gay can be v daunting. you dk what to do or who to talk to." He now runs a songwriting camp specifically for LGBTQ+ artists. His second album, BULLDOZER!!, is out September 18, 2026.

Yes. MNEK came out publicly as gay and wrote an open letter on National Coming Out Day in 2017 about being Black and gay.
